With spooky storytelling, Zombie Walk, mini-disco, crafts and face painting Trinity Market will be the spookiest place in Hull on Friday 31 October.

The Hulloween Spooktacular @ Trinity Market, organised by HullBID and part funded by Hull City Council will be a fun-packed day of free performances and activities for families to enjoy, starting at 10am and finishing at 5pm.

The Deep has been shortlisted for the Great British Wildlife Restoration competition, a prestigious scheme that recognises the incredible work being done to restore native species in the country.

17^th October marks International Sawfish Day, a global initiative dedicated to spotlighting sawfish, a fascinating species known for their huge size and named after their long-toothed rostrums (otherwise called ‘saws’). Celebrated annually, International Sawfish Day was established as a collaboration between the Sawfish Species Survival Plan of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria studbook program, as well as research and conservation organisations.

Recently, one of The Deep’s Aquarists travelled to Peru to assist in hands-on conservation tasks to safeguard seabirds and marine mammals, as part of the Punta San Juan Program. Supported by a team of volunteers, the program has been conducting research, monitoring and ensuring the conservation of wildlife in situ for over 30 years.
