Hull BID is working hard with city stakeholders to promote Hull city centre as an evening destination with a diverse offering in a safe environment.  As part of this, we are supporting the ‘Street Angels’ project where ‘Angels’ (mostly voluntary) patrol the city streets offering assistance, a shoulder to cry on or just providing a pair of disposable flip flops for tired feet!  Street Angels are currently recruiting for a Project Coordinator, see find details below.

 

Hull Street Angels Trinity

 

Job Title:                    Hull Street Angels Trinity Coordinator

Responsible to:         Hull Street Angels Trinity Operations Board

 

Based at:                    Holy Trinity Church, Market Place, Hull, HU1 1RR


Working Hours:        16 hours per week. (Spread over Thursday to

                                    Saturday)

Salary:                        £10400 per annum (16 hours per week)

This post is initially funded for 12 months. The post is subject to receipt of a satisfactory enhanced CRB check.

Overall Objective:

To lead on the development and delivery of the Hull Street Angels Trinity Project providing practical help and support for those who become vulnerable in any way on a weekend night /morning in the Trinity Quarter area from circa 10pm until around 4am when all the bars and clubs in the area are closed. 

Scope:

Hull Street Angels Trinity (HSAT) provides a safe place and safe people for those who become vulnerable in any way on a Friday and Saturday night/ early morning in the Trinity Quarter area of Hull. The volunteers are there to care for those in need, to provide a listening ear and to be a safe and approachable person. Work undertaken is talking to the people, offering water, creating links with the door staff, and offering first aid if needed.

Specific duties and responsibilities:

 

Any other duties commensurate with the level of responsibility of this post which you may be asked to undertake by the HSAT Chair.
