Hull on retailers’ radar for new stores
Hull on retailers’ radar for new stores
01 December, 2011

Hull City Centre has recently seen a flurry of transactions.  These include Costa Coffee, Cash Converters, Mooch and Diva Nails, all located on King Edward Street.  Other transactions include independents such as Pie on Trinity House Lane, Yum on Story Street and a further regional clothing company on West Street.  Scotts are also involved in the letting to a national operator of the former Sharps Moben Dolphin premises on Jameson Street and the former Post Office is also under offer.

Scotts Property LLP are now actively seeking further space to satisfy the growing demand for the City Centre.

Simon Preston from Scotts comments: “The hotspots appear to be centred around King Edward Street and Jameson Street although we are receiving a reasonable level of enquiries from local and regional occupiers looking at taking space in other central areas.  In these difficult economic times there is a need to balance the expectations of landlords and tenants to reach a mutual agreement between both parties.  Where landlords are actively offering rental incentives and reasonable rents we are able to conclude deals.”
