People are being urged to clear their diary for Humber Business Week 2014 as events for the festival’s 10th year celebrations are announced.

Set to be bigger and better than ever before – the week-long event kicks off on June 2 with business leaders from either side of the Humber coming together to celebrate all that is good about the region’s businesses.

Organisers have a packed schedule lined up for delegates including popular events such as the Bondholders Breakfast set to kick-start the week in lively fashion, IOD Luncheon, Hull and Humber Chamber Expo, Youth Enterprise Summit and the Yorkshire International Business Convention (YIBC), set to be headlined by former South African president and Noble Peace Prize Winner FW de Klerk.

Newcomers to the week include Ernst & Young’s Under Cyber Attack, set to discuss the huge global threat to organisations’ survival, ENRG’s Being Your Own Boss exploring what it is really like to start your own business while Sewell Group’s event will grab audience’s attention with a personal account of the physical and physiological effects of a major work incident and why Health and Safety is not just about ticking boxes.

Kath Lavery, Chair of Humber Business Week, said: “We are extremely excited for this year’s calendar of events with a mix of presentations, expos, workshops and annual conferences there really is something for everyone.

“The jam-packed line-up reflects the vibrant organisations we have working locally and we want to celebrate and shout about what these businesses and, ultimately, what this region has to offer.”

Started in 2004, Humber Business Week, known as Biz Week, has hosted hundreds of events and attracted tens of thousands of delegates, to what is Europe’s longest running festival of business.

As always, this year’s programme aims to educate, inspire and showcase the best of Humber business and it is hoped that this event, for its 10th year, will see more than 10,000 delegates descend on venues across the region.
