Princes Quay to host popular record fair
23 May, 2019

Dealers from all over the UK will be selling vintage and new collectable vinyl records, CDs and memorabilia at Princes Quay this weekend. The bi-monthly record fair, which has proved popular since 2011, will be located in the busy Hull shopping centre for the first time ever.

After an incredibly successful Record Store Day, which saw Wrecking Ball Music and Books offer shoppers rare and collectable vinyls, Princes Quay is upping the ante and hosting the event which will see stalls set up in the centre.

Shoppers will be able to browse a selection of artists and genres, with the opportunity to sell their unwanted records. The fair is organised by Wrecking Ball Music and Books and runs from 9am till 3pm on Saturday 25th May.

Gary Marks, event organiser and Wrecking Ball Music and Books Shop Manager, said: “Now in its eighth year, the bi-monthly Hull Record Fair is moving to Princes Quay, gathering together top dealers from all over the UK bringing thousands of vinyl records. Come along on the day and pick up a bargain or a collectable vinyl.”

John Magee, Centre Manager, added: “We’re incredibly excited to host the Hull Record Fair here in Princes Quay, it’s great to see enthusiasts come together and share their love of music, celebrating all things vinyl. Our Level 1 floor space serves as the perfect location for events like this and with lots of space for stalls, we’re expecting a busy weekend.”

Princes Quay outlet store Sole Trader will also be giving shoppers the chance to win a £100 voucher in a ‘Sole Search’ treasure hunt where visitors will be tasked to find 13 shoes hidden around the centre.
