Princes Quay turns the tables on Record Store Day
10 April, 2019

Record Store Day, on 13th April, is the one day of the year when over 200 independent record shops from across the UK come together to celebrate their unique culture.

Wrecking Ball Music and Books, located on Level 2 on the East Arcade, Princes Quay will be offering customers the chance to get exclusive vinyl releases from their favourite artists, with rare releases from artists such as Bowie, Morrissey and Pink Floyd.

As well as this, the centre will be providing a whole host of events, and shoppers will have the chance to make their own zine in a free workshop hosted by Make Noise. Visitors will also have the opportunity to win a pair of Beach Boys and KD Lang Bonus Arena tickets in a special giveaway.

Princes Quay will be opening at 6am to allow for early-bird queuing as the event is set to be a hit with music pundits from across the region. Coffee Delight will also be providing complimentary hot drinks for keen customers in the queue and queuers will also receive free parking which can be validated on the day.

Centre Manager John Magee said: “We’re really looking forward to Record Store Day, it’s an event that’s set to be as unique and exciting as the shop that’s hosting it. With some incredibly rare vinyl up for grabs, music lovers and collectors would be crazy to miss this one.”

Different shops throughout the centre will be offering special discounts as well as the chance to get a selfie near the record photo wall located on Level 3, and have your photo turned into a free keyring.
