Free Bookfair at Hull Central Library

Thirty leading writers, local history societies and book publishers from Hull will be descending on Hull Central Library from 11am-3pm on Saturday 12 September.

Well-known names in attendance include Margaret Dickinson, Louise Beech, John Markham, Michael E Ulyatt, Don Chester, John D Taylor, Ron Fairfax, John Brien, Sue Wilsea, Jes Parkin, Anna Bransgrove, Marion Gamble, Mark Stillman, as well as the Hornsea Writers (including Sylvia Broady, Penny Grubb and Linda Acaster), Fantastic Books Publishing, Keep Human Books, Highgate Publications, together with the Carnegie Heritage Centre, Valley Press and the Hull & District Local History Research Group.

The bookfair will offer a unique opportunity to meet up with local authors and societies and buy their books and publications.

There will be FREE admission to the bookfair, which will be officially opened by Councillor Terry Geraghty, portfolio holder for culture and leisure at Hull City Council.
