Critically-acclaimed Manchester Collective will premiere Pierrot Lunaire, "A Nasty Piece of Work", at Trinity Market on Saturday 17 November.

Manchester Collective is an ensemble of classically trained musicians who create radical human experiences through live music, for a range of new audiences.

Schoenberg's controversial music about madness, death, sex, dreams, and trauma will be presented by Elizabeth Alker (BBC Radio 3 & 6 Music), with artists from The Warren in Hull opening the evening. Trinity Market will sound and feel like it never has before.

Hull-based Shoot the Bull will also be providing food and drink on an evening that promises to be very different to your usual musical, or classical experience as Alker unravels and dissects the startling, surreal and unsettling Pierrot.

Manchester Collective Managing Director Adam Szabo said: "We're honoured to be performing in a city that has been home to musicians such as Ethel Leginska, Spiders from Mars, COUM Transmissions right through to the Housemartins. The work we did with artists earlier this year from The Warren has shown us that Hull is still the place where brilliant musicians are creating and performing some of the most exciting work out there.

"Pierrot Lunaire at Trinity Market is going to be a completely unique experience. Join us for great food and drink and a superb night of live music, in not your usual setting."

Shoot the Bull said: "We are delighted to be working with Manchester Collective, to really make Trinity Market a great space, day and night. The market is the perfect setting for events as unique and exciting as those that Manchester Collective present, and we can't wait to complement that experience with our award-winning food and drink offer.
