Leading Hull law firm Rollits has made two new appointments to its property and private client teams with the recruitment of trainees Sophie Wheeldon and Hollie Burnett who have successfully completed their training contracts with the firm.

Sophie and Hollie, who joined the firm two years ago have begun their careers as solicitors at Rollits following their admission at the beginning of September.

Sophie, who graduated with an LLB from Hull University in 2012, joins the property team. She will deal with all aspects of commercial property work, including sales and purchases, landlord and tenant, leasehold and freehold, secured lending and corporate support work.

Hollie, who completed her LLB Hons (Exempting) at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle in 2011 has moved to work across the firm’s family and private capital departments.  She is involved in dealing with issues arising out of divorce and separation, children arrangements, Separation & Cohabitation Agreements and Pre Nuptial & Post Nuptial Agreements. In relation to private capital matters Hollie is involved in wills, trusts, estate administration and Lasting Powers of Attorney. She also deals with Inheritance Act claims.

Commenting on the promotions, Ralph Gilbert, Managing Partner at Rollits, said: “We are extremely proud of the Sophie and Hollie’s achievements. Over the last two years they have worked hard to complete their training contracts and qualify as lawyers.  We congratulate them on their qualification and I am sure both of them will help to contribute to the success of the teams they have joined”
