Improve access & signage
It will be important to identify the City Centre, provide clear directions and promote events through new signage:
• Enhance entrances to the City Centre with new ‘Welcome to Hull’ signage and improved directions to car parks, disabled facilities, toilets and baby-changing.
• Introduce event banners in City Centre pedestrianised areas to better promote City events and celebrations.
• Manage the appearance of empty retail units by using large window posters,
not only to hide the empty and often untidy appearance of such properties, but
also to promote Hull City Centre branding and special events.
