Boutique Hotel Opens Its Doors
17.03.2010The Townhouse on Albion Street opens for business on 19th March, and will be Hull’s newest luxury 4 star standard boutique style hotel. With just 27 bedrooms, the team behind it are hoping that they can create a home from home ambience by employing a handpicked team of service driven individuals.
The building dates back to 1846 and was formerly the home of Queen Victoria’s personal physician J Alderson,. These days, each of the rooms features air conditioning, flat screen LCD TVs with integrated DVD players, iPod docking stations, laptop safes, fridges, tea and coffee making facilities (with fresh milk), spa baths and showers. Room service is available each evening for those guests requiring dinner.
The Townhouse can also cater for business events with a meeting room seating 20 people boardroom style, 60 people theatre style or 30 people classroom style. The room also features full air conditioning, Wireless Data Projector, 42” TV with PC connectivity, wireless internet access, dvd, 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound, cd, ipod docking and conference phone.
To celebrate their opening, the hotel will be offering some special introductory room rates for the first 6 weeks of operation. These are:

Manager Kevin Westgarth Millar said the hotel had already received an excellent response to these introductory rates.
He said; “We’re convinced we’ve got an absolutely fantastic product with some great staff. We want people to try us over the next few weeks and experience for themselves the quality of service we can offer.”
