Evening Economy

Hull City Centre is under utilised after 5.30pm as workers head home and shops close. The BID aims to work with existing cafés, restaurants and pubs to introduce a programme of early evening attractions to invite and retain people into a more family friendly environment. Activities include:

• Support early evening leisure promotions and encourage shops to stay open later as more people stay and live in the City Centre.

• Fund car parks to stay open later, when required, and illuminate them to ensure they are safe and secure.

• Develop innovative late night transportation solutions that cater for a variety of needs
