Santa rewards creativity at Prospect Centre
2010-12-22
The Winner of The Prospect Shopping Centre’s creative writing competition has been chosen by Mrs Christmas, the elves and centre manager, Pete Barber.
The initiative which tied in with Hull’s National Elf Day took full advantage of children’s imaginative juices, with the centre calling on little ones to help complete an Elf Adventure story; this was started by Buzzwell - the centre’s mascot - but needed finishing!
Emily Hobson, year 7 was presented with £50 WH Smith book vouchers and had her story read aloud in Santa’s World by the jolly man himself on Saturday, 18 December!
Pete Barber said: “The challenge to complete the story was not just a great opportunity to win a fantastic prize, but most important of all have Father Christmas read it aloud.”
